Upvote is an independent discovery board for products and companies with a meaningful Canadian connection. Explore a collection, find a tool you’ll actually use, and give a favourite your vote.

A vote for usefulness.

The board starts with researched editorial discoveries. Community votes begin at zero and are stored on the server. The default view follows editorial order; “Most upvoted” sorts by actual votes. Ties preserve editorial order. Anonymous voting is limited by browser and network to reduce repeat votes, but it is not a verified public opinion poll.

Canadian roots. Clear definitions.

Canadian-founded, Canadian-operated, Canadian-designed and Canadian-manufactured mean different things. Every profile describes the connection supported by the company’s own information. A listing does not mean every component or product is manufactured in Canada.

A place for makers.

Products are reviewed before publication. We look for a useful, working offering, a clear Canadian connection and an honest description. Listings are independent; there are no paid placements in this first release.
