A good find.
A closer look.
Discovery works better when you can see what supports a listing.
Start with a useful suggestion.
Community discussions, including Reddit, can help surface products worth researching. A discussion link explains whether it concerns the exact product, a product family, or the brand. Mentioning another model does not endorse the version listed here.
Check the facts with primary sources.
We check the product description, its availability to people in Canada, and origin claims using the maker’s or an official provider’s information. Profiles link to those sources; our research records retain when they were checked. Availability notes include relevant shipping, stock, subscription or regional restrictions. Details can change after a check; confirm the current offer before buying.
Keep origin labels specific.
Canadian-founded describes a documented founding connection. Canada-based describes a documented business location. Canadian operations describes the narrower local activity stated by a source. None of these proves Canadian ownership or manufacture. Made in Canada is used only when the cited maker information supports the specific product, and is labelled as a maker statement. Global brands can appear when their products are available in Canada.
Original Upvote illustrations.
AI-generated illustrations are created for Upvote from written product descriptions. They are illustrative; colours, materials and appearance may differ from the product being sold. Open the linked product source for the maker’s current images and specifications. Local feature illustrations represent general crafts, materials and community activities; they do not depict the actual venue or reproduce the featured artist’s work. Follow the official website and social links to see their real work. These are independent Upvote artworks, not maker photography. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Community mentions are context.
Reddit comments are not verified purchases, Upvote votes, or proof of a product claim. A source can include positive, negative or mixed opinions. We explain limits in the discussion context; we do not turn a mention into a quality score or assume a commenter’s nationality.
Votes come from this board.
Most upvoted sorts by votes accepted on Upvote. Equal counts retain editorial order, including when a new listing has no votes. A vote shows interest in a discovery, not a verified review, recommendation from all Canadians, or guarantee that it is the best product. Security checks and browser and network limits reduce repeat voting; no anonymous system eliminates every abuse.
Canadian connection, private location.
Public counts are readable everywhere. Product, maker and poll voting are available only when the server identifies a Canadian IP address for the connection. Location cannot always be established, and an IP check does not verify citizenship or residency. Unavailable location checks keep voting closed. Browser and network limits reduce repeat votes.
Opinion and prediction polls.
Each poll has a neutral question, linked primary-source context, and a finite voting window. Up and down choices use the labels shown on the poll. Your first recorded choice is final in this release. Counts describe people who participated here; they are not representative national opinion, a scientific survey, or a forecast probability. A prediction poll records an outlook, not a guarantee of an outcome.
Review, then correct.
New suggestions and reports enter a private review queue. We check supporting sources before publishing a change. Listings can be corrected or retired when details become outdated or misleading. Use the report form for factual errors, availability issues, duplicates or spam; include a public source when you can.
