The person behind the work: Don, Jesse and Spike Stinson — Family woodworkers
The Canadian connection.
The official contact page places the workshop in Tamworth, Ontario. The selected ambrosia-maple bowl family is described by the maker as made in Canada using local wood. This does not establish the origin of every finish or accessory, or an independent sustainability certification.
Before you buy or book.
The shop currently carries an undated end-of-year retirement notice: wholesale orders have stopped, and retail continues only while stock lasts or until the Christmas break. Confirm current ordering and delivery directly. This is a working studio without a walk-in retail shop; ask before visiting. General bowl-care advice excludes burls.

What this recognition means.
An Upvote feature award recognises an editorial listing with a useful public profile, a documented Canadian connection or Canadian availability, and direct links to the source. Every featured entry can use the same recognition.
It is not a competition result, quality certification, product test, verified purchase or a claim to be the best. Community votes remain separate. A Canadian business connection does not mean every item is made in Canada.
The badge and award are free and optional. No payment, backlink or promotion is required to keep a listing. Sharing one does not imply a partnership, and Upvote does not promise sales or search placement.
