Her official biography identifies a Montréal clothing designer who has co-directed the studio since 2009; the studio manifesto identifies Catherine and Anne-Marie as its founders.
The story & the craft.
atelier b began in an apartment and developed into a Mile End atelier-boutique. Its manifesto names Catherine and Anne-Marie as founders, while Catherine Métivier's biography describes a Montreal clothing designer and studio co-director since 2009. The business connects its own natural-fibre clothing line with manufacture in Montreal.
Clothing and repair inquiries are separate ways to approach the studio. A garment purchase begins with the selected piece's measurements, composition and care, whereas repair requires the particular item and requested work to be discussed. The manifesto explicitly describes a repair service, but does not establish every repair's eligibility, price or turnaround. Ask through the published studio contact route before sending or bringing an item. The shop also carries other labels; they should not inherit atelier b's own-line production statement. Canadian sewing is separate from where textiles were grown or processed.
