THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK

Tia Masic

Founder of Hemlock & Oak

Tia's official founder account describes researching stationery materials and designing the team's planners. Hemlock & Oak dates its first Canadian-made planner release to October 2020.

The story & the craft.

Tia Masic's maker story starts with research into stationery materials and a first Canadian-made planner released in October 2020. The team designs its layouts in-house and works with Canadian manufacturers to turn those pages into physical books.

The useful choice is how you want to use the page. The 2027 weekly hardcover has hourly columns and guided reflection; notebooks provide open-ended writing layouts. Compare the edition, size, paper and cover finish before choosing a book for your routine.

2027 Weekly Planner — Hardcover

A Monday-start hourly layout with guided reflection, 224 pages of Heritage 120gsm paper and lay-flat binding. The exact page states Canadian printing and binding with domestic and imported materials.

Confirm the colour and fulfilment queue; older pre-orders ship first. Fawn is coated, while some other colours are uncoated. Neither finish is waterproof. The lower August shipping FAQ is older than the dated October production update.

Notebooks and journals

Dotted, graph and lined notebooks in several sizes, with different paper weights and hardcover or flexible covers. The collection states Canadian design, printing and binding.

This is family-level evidence. Check the exact size, layout, paper, cover and stock; Canadian binding does not imply domestic materials. The FAQ describes Archivist papers made with a European mill.

Custom planners and notebooks

Custom book orders using the maker's signature interiors, with gold foil options on covers and spines.

Minimum 100 books. The page schedules orders in Q1–Q3, subject to available interiors and capacity. Ask about timing and pricing; this is not an individual bespoke planner or a confirmed current booking.

Before you buy or go.

Confirm the selected colour and shipping queue: older pre-orders go first, and some other 2027 layouts are still being bound. Cloth covers are not waterproof; uncoated finishes mark more easily. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Vegan cover materials do not make the whole book vegan; the maker's FAQ notes an adhesive limitation.

The Canadian connection.

The official site identifies Coquitlam headquarters and Toronto manufacture. The selected weekly hardcover states Canadian design, printing and binding with domestic and imported materials. This supports the business and exact-product connection, without establishing current ownership or every accessory's origin.
